Luca Broegg at EST srl is a researcher. Luca Broegg is a chemical engineer with a strong passion for innovation. His education and experiences have enabled him to develop a solid background in nanotechnologies and industrial processes, with a particular focus on sustainability.
Luca earned his bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the Department of Industrial Engineering at the University of Salerno, with an experimental thesis in pharmacokinetics titled: “Release of Active Ingredients from Nano-Micro Particulate Systems”. This allowed him to acquire skills in experimental design and execution, data analysis, and the characterization of materials at the nanoscale. Expanding his expertise, he later obtained a master’s degree in innovative processes and nanotechnologies from the same faculty during the academic year 2023/2024. His thesis, “Vegetable Tanning: Development and Characterization of Polymer Nanoparticles Loaded with Tannins”, enabled him to participate in one of the research group’s projects, “Giasone (Management, Innovation, Environment, Sustainability, and Ecological Innovations in the Tanning Industry)”.
From November 2021 to May 2022, he worked as a tutor, assisting high school and university students for Gostudent. This experience allowed him to develop communication, mentoring, and problem-solving skills.
From January to April 2024, he completed an internship as a process engineer at Ecobrake, an Italian brake and slider company, where he ensured the smooth flow of the production process.
Since July 2024, he has been a research and development engineer at EST – Enhanced Systems & Technologies, contributing to innovation projects in the fields of chemical and process engineering, as well as the pharmaceutical, food, and new materials sectors.
In addition to his education, Luca is a sports enthusiast and an athlete in defensive dynamic shooting with the IDPA (International Defensive Pistol Association). His national and international experiences in this sport have allowed him to develop qualities such as a competitive spirit, resilience, stress management, and strong interpersonal skills—attributes that are equally valuable in the professional world.
